How Our Service Works


When you call Colorado Critter Care, a staff member arranges a visit to your home to meet you and your pets.  If you choose to use our services we then conduct a Client interview.  The interview will last approximately 45 minutes.  During this time we get detailed information about your home and your pets.

At this time you decide how often you want your sitter to visit and what services you would like performed. Remember this is personalized pet sitting, so you choose the services.   Fees are based on the number of pets and the amount of time you would like spent in your home.

While you are away we will perform the duties specified with attention to every detail and great respect for you and your home.  We have a system that allows us to double check everything so that nothing is left out or forgotten.  When you return home you will find a Daily Diary that explains all the activities and time spent with your pets.  We also provide you with a Daily checklist, which will show you all the home services performed during your absence.  Finally there will be a Pet Sitter Evaluation, which we encourage you to fill out and return to us.

Upon your arrival home we ask that you call Colorado Critter Care to let us know you have returned safely.  If you are delayed on your travel for any reason, we will be happy to extend our services until you arrive home.  Once you are home and have checked in with us, we will return your house key and collect payment if you have not pre-paid.

A Ready-Key program is available for your convenience.  If you are satisfied with the service and think you will be using us in the future we recommend that you enroll in the ready-key program.  If you decide to participate you are required to provide Colorado Critter Care with two keys to your home.  The keys are kept in a safe and are coded for your protection when they are not in use.  You get the added benefit of making telephone reservations after you are a part of this program.
